Alyssa took care of me the night of my birthday in June 2019. I was in labor with my son, who was born the next day. I went into a severe hypertensive episode and they emergently put in an epidural to help decrease my pressure and keep me from seizing. Alyssa helped to take care of me and my son in one of the scariest moments of my life.
Alyssa kept me calm when I was very panicked. She and the midwife held me when my husband had to leave for the procedure. I always meant to submit her for the DAISY Award, but just found the Post-It Note where I wrote down her name. She made a big impact on me that day!
