Alyssa has always been such a great charge nurse and an amazing coworker. However, she modeled Empathy and a caring attitude toward her colleagues, specifically recently when I had a patient who was MEWs(ing) very high and a patient who had a CBI running. She modeled empathy and a caring attitude by assisting me with all of my patients, helping me during the rapid response, giving me the time I needed to accompany my patient to the ICU, and (somehow) managing to avoid giving me any new admissions until this RRT was complete. She then assisted me/fully completed one of my two admissions when I got them both after 1700. She did all of this while having her own full load of patients as well. She showed true teamwork and consideration. 

Alyssa demonstrates amazing clinical skills by being able to prioritize care, and time manage appropriately and complete charge nurse tasks while still providing compassionate care by making each patient feel important and ensuring her colleagues feel comfortable and have had the chance to eat.

I have never seen a day so busy (even on ortho/surg) that it is capable of putting Alyssa in a sour mood. Her positivity and glowing smile are so contagious!! 

She exemplifies the mission, values, and vision of Saint Francis by ensuring that each staff member and patient feels respected and cared for. She truly is focused on patient-centered care and advocates for this by also ensuring her fellow staff members feel valued and seen. 

Again, Alyssa's positivity and efficiency allow her to establish a unique relationship with her patients, their family members, and her fellow co-workers. 

Alyssa goes above and beyond and absolutely never complains about what that entails.
