I’d like to take a moment to recognize your staff on CSSU. Yesterday I underwent a ventricular ablation. From the time I entered the unit until the time I was discharged, everyone was fantastic. I was extremely anxious upon arrival not sure exactly what the final outcome was going to be. Alyssa Marin, the nurse who cared for me, was amazing. She greeted me with a smile, asked if I needed anything, and made sure I was ok before the procedure. Once returning to the unit, she was caring, sensitive, and very discreet. Just prior to discharge, Alyssa went over all my discharge instructions and made sure I clearly understood everything. She definitely calmed my nerves before and helped me after. Being an employee at North Shore, I was comforted to know my privacy was maintained and those who did know me were very professional while caring for me.
