I was hospitalized recently for what turned out to be a blood clot in my lungs and an infection, which caused a lot of pain that was happening as a result of both. I met Alyssa on my last day, and I was absolutely amazed at what she did to help me. I was worried because I’ve had issues in the past with the pharmacy, not filling prescriptions, and I didn’t want to be without my new blood thinner and other medications. When I shared with Alyssa that I was nervous about this, she offered to contact the pharmacy directly, and she did!

She actually did run into some issues where the pharmacy was not going to fill my prescriptions, so she reached out to the prescribing doctor, and both she and the doctor worked together to make sure that I was able to leave the hospital and go directly to the pharmacy and pick up my medications.

I just don’t have enough words to say how much I appreciate Alyssa going above and beyond to make sure that I did not have to worry about that when I left, and to just make sure that I felt I felt like a person. She spent time to make sure that something I was worried about was not an issue, and she did not have to do that because she was busy taking care of everybody else on the floor. She still made time to call the pharmacy and engage other doctors to make sure that everything got resolved.

She’s a wonderful person, and I am so grateful and so very lucky to have her. Thank you!
