A huge, heartfelt shout-out to one of the incredible nurses – Alyssa. Her exceptional postpartum care for me and my baby has left a lasting impression on both my husband and me, and we couldn’t be more appreciative. As soon as Alyssa entered our room, her warmth, compassion, and kindness were evident. As a first-time mom, everything was new territory for me. All it took was her confident smile to allow me to take a deep exhale I didn’t realize I needed. Alyssa took the time to explain every detail of the care process, answered my many (manyyy) questions with patience, and listened to me in a way that made me feel heard. The first night, when I was so exhausted, she encouraged us to utilize the nursery overnight. She brought lavender essential oil, made sure we were set up with blankets and pillows, and dimmed the lights for us. My husband and I joked that it felt like getting tucked into bed at a fancy hotel. It is evident she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows through her enthusiasm to care for her patients in a way that makes them feel encouraged, educated, and supported. We are so grateful our paths crossed.
