Alyssa was very supportive and compassionate with not only our son during his treatment but also with us, the parents. She was patient, kind, thorough, and always explained what she was doing. We were at the hospital for almost a week, and she was able to comfort us while we were expecting to get very upsetting news and expressed her genuine care during this time. Not only was she amazing with us and our son; she was also training a new nurse and showed the same professionalism and compassion to the other nurse. Alyssa truly made our experience at Children’s Memorial Hermann the best it could be under our circumstances and is a stunning example to her peers.

Alyssa has been so incredible. Not only did she take care of my boy, she helped me! She listened to me, and despite this awful event that happened, she helped me feel at ease. Alyssa has truly been one of the best nurses I’ve ever been in contact with. Very professional and polite, she is truly in the right field.
