We've had Alyssa Vescera several times, and she always makes me feel that my daughter is in the best possible care. The first time we had Alyssa, she advocated for our daughter to get fed a larger volume since she was doing so well. She also sat us down and explained in depth how Lovenox works and any side effects there might be. We had Alyssa another time when she called the charge nurse after recognizing a baseball sized lump around her incision. She constantly checked to make sure we were okay in addition to our daughter. She continued to check the site every day for the remainder of the time.
Most recently, our daughter got sick with some congestion and vomiting. Alyssa knew what to do and how to make us calm. She rushed to our daughter's bedside to assist and it made us feel better about what was going on. She also knew that it was my husband's last night together before taking our daughter home. She kicked us out of the room to go home and get some rest. Alyssa is truly an exceptional nurse. She not only takes care of your child, but the family as well.
