Aman will not fall short of doing the work of 10 people!
I was employed at the department of Human Services getting to know people is a skill you have to see them, hear them, understand them and fully care for them. My short story stemmed from a downfall in my health and my life. I'm one that always sees the good in life. I entered St. Francis Medical Center which now deals with the heart. I came in a phrase last, in fear of the condition of my heart. It was a truly bad period and this would change my life.

My first admission experience was life-changing not only did the staff care for me, they care for me as if I had been here before. They laughed with me, they cried with me, they talked about God with me and they suffered the pain with me. On the date I was leaving they wished me well, and they gave me memories that I could take home and frame about my experience. I carried that all the way into the next month in which my sickness fell upon me again but I knew in order to get past this next experience I had to be among people that would keep me holding my head up high.

So, I told my son to take me back to Saint Francis. I was placed on another floor, but the experience was even greater. On the first day I was treated once again as if everyone knew me, they laughed, and talked as if they knew me for years. I had to go upstairs for a stress test. I met a nurse that placed the Holy Spirit in me and my heart. She taught me ways to care for myself better than I had been. She shared stories that brought tears to my eyes but were teaching me how to live longer and better when I return to my floor. There was the cleaning lady that looked like she had taken every living soul that works in the hospital under her wing, and she kept the units clean for her children. The most pleasant person you could meet when you're not feeling well.

Then there was Aman. She seemed to be the sister to everyone, she has humor in every word she speaks, and she was happy, concerned, willing, and ready when duty calls. I watched her from time to time. It's like she would keep her head up to hear the call of duty in this job in her world and she will not fall short of doing the work of 10 people! She and many others should be honored on the day of closing when Saint Francis departs. Forever, this staff should hold A-frame in the department of Human Services City Hall or the statehouse. I honor the staff on all ships at Saint Francis because they stay until the end.
