I met Amanda when I got my LVAD in 2014. She was the first nurse to take care of me. Since that time, she goes above and beyond for me every time I am in the hospital, no matter what floor I end up on. She makes my day bright because the hospital is so dim. She makes a bad experience tolerable. She always checks in on me even when I'm not her patient. I enjoy her decorations; she decorated my room for Halloween and when we thought I'd be here for Christmas, she was going to make me a Christmas tree IV pole. To top it off, she knows her stuff! She's the best nurse.
