Amanda was nominated by a family member of a patient she cared for due to the comfort she provided and compassion she showed towards the patient and family. The family member was waiting on a physician to arrive but desperately needed to take a break and go to the cafe. Amanda told the family member to take a break and she would find the family when the doctor arrived. When the doctor arrived she walked to the cafe and brought the family back to the patient's room. The family was so grateful for Amanda for the excellent care in which she provided both the patient and family.
