My family recently lost my grandfather due to COVID-19 and the next day after his passing my uncle was admitted to South with COVID-19. With this being a very hard time for my family and me, Amanda worked hard to make my uncle comfortable not only physically to manage his symptoms but also emotionally during a very difficult time of losing his father. She helped him find ways to improvise his breathing and make completing ADLs easier while also being there for him emotionally allowing him to vent. As well, she kept me and my family informed about him. She also was there for me to check how I was coping with what was going on with my family and checking if I needed anything. It made it easier to come to work when I knew she was caring for him; it let me and my family know that he was getting the best care possible.
