December 2023 Honoree
Amanda Constable, RN
I often wondered what your last day on this earth would be like. I came to the hospital for a CT Scan with contrast. I died. They called code blue and Amanda was one of the first nurses to respond. She said I had no pulse anywhere. She got my heart started. I ended up on a ventilator for 5 days. She gave me a second chance at life.
Due to quick thinking knowledge of CPR, I am alive and I will be forever grateful. When I was in ICU and I was down, she lifted my spirits. She is a pure example of what a nurse should be. She and I cried together and I laughed together. She is a very caring nurse with a heart of gold. She is not just a nurse, she has become my friend. There aren't too many people who can say they saved a life!

Thank you, Amanda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
