Let me start by saying the entire staff provided great care to my husband, E, during his stay here. But one nurse, Amanda, stood out from the rest! She truly showed compassionate, empathetic care. She was kind, patient, and respectful. In addition, she went above and beyond as an advocate for my husband. She listened to our concerns about his pending discharge and the possible delay as we waited for final wound culture results. She immediately reached out to the team to convey our questions and concerns to clarify his plan of care.

Most importantly, she actually reached out to the lab manager and requested that they send an email to Quest to see if they could look into it and promptly post them. Amanda recognized that my husband would benefit from being home, if possible, as he was feeling down about the possibility of staying in the hospital another night, purely just waiting for the results. Her knowledge and efficiency were top-notch! As an RN at another institution, I recognize quality patient care and wanted to nominate Amanda! My husband was safely discharged home, and his words to Amanda were "the cat's meow!" lol. We truly appreciated her hard work, and we felt blessed to have her as his nurse!
