Amanda is always eager to assist when needed. As a leader, Amanda ensures her staff nurses do not need assistance with providing care by performing routine rounds. Amanda takes the time to round on patients to ensure their needs are met. She recognizes nurses and staff for doing outstanding jobs. Amanda is my direct report and mentor. She helps me to achieve my personal and professional goals. She has provided me with encouragement to seek going back to school to teach, as well as move up the ladder within the unit. As a nurse, Amanda goes above and beyond for her patients. I have been a part of a small birthday celebration she provided to a patient on our unit.
