Amanda is always upbeat and cheerful. She has never met a stranger and can put any patient at ease in a heartbeat. She talks with them about what is going to be happening to them during the time preceding the procedure and then holds their hand and chats cheerfully with them about family or home while they are waiting for anesthesia. Although she has been with our department for less than a year, she can jump into any role in nearly any procedure and do it effectively and efficiently. She's a nurse I would ask for if I were having a procedure. Amanda truly cares about her co-workers and will go from room to room offering help any time her room is down. Our shift coordinator and I were talking the other day and I said, 'I really wish we could clone Amanda.' Our shift coordinator agreed wholeheartedly. She's a keeper!
