Amanda is an exemplary healthcare professional and an inspiring team member, consistently elevating the standards of patient care and teamwork within our unit. Amanda's magnetic personality, unwavering positivity, and genuine kindness profoundly impact patients, their families, and her colleagues. Her excellent bedside manner and ability to empathize and connect with patients make her an invaluable asset to our team. The feedback we receive during Cipher Rounds consistently reflects Amanda's commitment to quality care, with numerous patients and their families expressing gratitude for her attention, expertise, and reassurance.
Amanda has served as a preceptor to many of the new RNs within Pav 3 and the gwyn team. Her ability to precept, mentor, and provide constructive criticism is a skill that expert nurses have yet to achieve.
In addition to her clinical prowess, Amanda has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and dedication in her role as a charge nurse. Her colleagues have consistently voiced their appreciation for her supportive and inclusive approach, fostering a collaborative and nurturing work environment. I have personally had the opportunity to observe her remarkable leadership and the sense of camaraderie she brings to the team, which has been truly inspiring.
As a recently appointed charge nurse, Amanda has faced numerous challenges head-on, displaying remarkable resilience and adaptability. Her ability to maintain poise and an open-minded perspective in the face of adversity is truly commendable. During the Joint Commission preparation week, Amanda went above and beyond to support our administrative team, assisting with chart reviews, organizing the unit, and offering unwavering support to her colleagues. Her proactive and collaborative approach significantly contributed to our successful preparation and helped create a well-organized and efficient work environment.
Amanda has this ability to lift the energy on the unit, whether it be through recognition in the form of my recognition which she is probably the unit champion for the number of submissions or her upbeat, bubbly personality. She is a nurse manager's dream, always willing and always finding a yes!
