I was being seen for a head laceration. Amanda moved confidently as she performed her duties of collecting my vitals. She engaged me in conversation and made me feel comfortable about my visit. The thought of getting stitches in my head made me nervous. As she gave me a tetanus shot, she said it would hurt a little, however, I didn’t feel anything. It was certainly evident that her training had prepared her for this situation.

A week later, I returned to get my stitches removed. Again, I was not looking forward to this, but to my surprise, Amanda was again my nurse. She looked over my wound and told me everything looked good. As she removed the stitches I didn’t feel a thing. She carefully counted each stitch as she removed them and showed me all 5 stitches, so I would know she got them all. She answered all my questions regarding further treatment. Thank you, Amanda!
