I would like to recognize Mandy for her consistent compassion, presence, and willingness to go above and beyond for both patients and staff. Mandy doesn’t just respond to emergencies; she stays.

During a recent RRT on the 5th floor, Mandy remained with the patient and family for over an hour after the situation was stabilized. She took the time to calm, reassure, and support them during a moment filled with fear and uncertainty. Her presence turned a highly stressful situation into one where the patient and family felt heard, safe, and genuinely cared for.

As a nurse educator, Mandy is constantly involved in emergency responses across the hospital, helping guide staff through challenging clinical situations while modeling compassionate communication. She never seeks recognition or “credit”, she simply shows up where she is needed and gives her full attention and heart. Mandy leads with grace, patience, and empathy. She not only educates nurses, but she also inspires them and continues to show support to the patients as well.
