Our dad was in ICU for 2 weeks and then transferred to an inpatient bed. He had a bad spell of pneumonia. We were then told that we should put our dad in hospice care. That's when Amanda came in. She worked the weekend shift and we met her on Sunday night. That's when they took away all his meds and feeding tube.

Amanda had this loving, caring, feeling about her. Right away we knew our dad was in wonderful hands. She explained everything that was going on with our dad. Amanda always kept us informed. She would bring in coffee, water and snacks for our family; always asking if there was anything she could get us or anything she could do.

Amanda always had a smile on her face. A smile that would light up the room. That smile always made our day.

Our family was going through a very difficult time knowing we were losing our dad, but Amanda always knew what to say or do to lift up our spirits. She is an amazing person. She has a heart full of love and compassion.

Amanda always talked to our dad reassuring him that everything was okay and his family was here with him. We know our dad was very much at peace when Amanda was there. We love her laugh and upbeat soul. She is just a wonderful person inside and out.

Our dad passed away and our family was there all day. We knew he didn't have much time. Amanda made sure our dad was comfortable throughout the day and always made sure our family was too.

We have to say that we were very lucky to have Amanda as our dad's nurse for the 10 days we had with him and we know our dad was grateful to have such a loving, caring nurse by his side while he was finding his way to the other side.
