Amanda Lee, BSN, RN

My son, J, was admitted to AdventHealth. He developed a case of croup, had a severe case of stridor, and we were so worried. J is a very hyperactive 4-year-old with a lot of energy and commentary to boot but was not himself when he got here. His nurse, Amanda, took such amazing care of him and was extra gentle, understanding, and patient with him the whole way through. He was cleared to go home and so we went.

The night he came home he again developed a stridor with retractions and was readmitted to the same floor. He initially had a new nurse, but upon hearing J had returned, Amanda stepped up and took care of my son and me on top of her heavy workload. To say I was a mess would be an understatement, but Amanda took compassionate care of me too even though she didn't have to. Amanda is the reason my worries were eased, my heart less jumpy, and my tears stopped flowing. Whatever copay I owe her for her "therapy sessions" I would gladly pay. Amanda is the reason J healed again and if God forbid, I ever have to bring my children to the hospital, it will be Advent Health for children in Orlando. Thank you for everything, Amanda!
