Amanda Lee 2026, R.N.
It is my honor to nominate Amanda Lee for a DAISY Award in recognition of the extraordinary compassion, kindness, and professionalism she demonstrated while caring for my mother.
At 96 years old, my mother was especially vulnerable and required not only excellent medical care but also patience, understanding, and genuine compassion. Amanda provided all of those things and so much more.
She never made my mother feel like just another patient. She took the time to listen, offered reassurance, and made certain my mother was as comfortable as possible. Even during what I know were very busy shifts. Amanda always made us feel like my mother’s well-being truly mattered.
As a daughter, there is no greater comfort knowing someone you love is being cared for with the same kindness and respect you would hope to provide yourself. Amanda's calm, compassionate presence gave our family that reassurance every day.
Her clinical skills were outstanding, but what truly distinguished her was the genuine kindness she brought to every interaction. She reminded us that exceptional nursing is about more that medicine– it is about treating every patient with dignity, compassion and humanity.
Amanda embodies the very qualities the DAISY award was created to recognize. Our family will always be grateful for the difference she made during a difficult time.
