I have spent 4 days under the care of my nurse, and she has easily become my only motivation for improvement. I initially expected to just be in a bed and do nothing, but her cheery smile, big whops of admiration when I achieve a goal, and the way she goes above and beyond for me are unlike any nurse I’ve ever had, and as a sickle cell patient I’ve had hundreds. Yet she’s the first recommendation of mine. I wasn’t able to eat the food in the hospital and she orders me food; that is way out of what she has to do. There is nobody more deserving of this award than the nurse I was blessed to have.
