Amanda had a complicated call. She listened to the member's complaint, realized it was a true cardiac emergency, and quickly consulted with a call center doctor who agreed the member needed to call 911. She was able to reassure the member while at the same time conveying the urgency of her complaint. She truly embodied nursing excellence from the beginning of the call, through her consult, and to the end of the call ensuring her member would receive the care she needed.
