November 2021 Honoree
Amanda M Gomez, AGACNP-BC
Amanda goes above and beyond every day to make a difference for the acute care surgery team and the care of our patients. One example, of many, is when she independently tucked in an intubated ER TBI patient while residents were at conference, including doing the entire assessment and appropriate dressing of a traumatic wound, all while coordinating with neurosurgery. Amanda also completed a tertiary survey on an ICU patient hospital day three and uncovered lack of CTA with seat belt sign. She helped get the correct work-up and care for the patient to identify any additional injuries and promote the best care for the patient. These are tiny examples of what she does every day. Every patient, every time, Amanda is so thoughtful and dedicated to doing the right thing. Amanda is a really, really valuable ACS team member!
Thank you, Amanda M, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
