Amanda is truly amazing. This was an experience I will never forget, and the only thing that made it bearable was the care, compassion, comfort, and knowledge that Amanda provided my wife and me. My wife and I are first time parents and were very nervous because we had no idea what to expect.

After IV was administered and it was just my wife and I in the room, my wife turned to me and said, "I really like her". I knew right then this is the nurse that we had to have. Fast forward a little bit, my wife's water breaks, and the contractions began. Amanda went above and beyond to make sure my wife was comfortable. She was the most comforting nurse either one of us has ever experienced.

The next couple of days in recovery, things didn’t go as planned, and Amanda took amazing care of us again. The only time my wife and I felt nervous, or had any possible thoughts of doubt were when Amanda was not on shift. I can't express how amazing she is at her job.

Every aspect of our daily routine changed in the blink of an eye, and Amanda was the one person in the world who made us feel like it was going to be okay. She is the smartest, most dedicated, thoughtful, and kind not only nurse but person we have come in contact with. She deserves this award and much more!
