We had a 6-year-old autistic child with a large chin laceration that was coming to the OR for repair. Amanda immediately asked if she could go make friends with the child. Amanda promised the parents she would stay with their son until they reunited in the PACU, and that she didn't care if she had to clock out, she wanted to stay. This is a perfect example of going above what is expected to provide exceptional patient care. Thank you, Amanda!
