We brought my mom into the ED in the evening. The first person we interacted with was Amanda. Immediately, we felt relieved that my mom was in good hands. Amanda exhibited competence, efficiency, warmth, and compassion. What struck me the most was her smile and positive attitude; just what we needed during a difficult time. Amanda stopped in to check on my mom (husband and me) at the end of her 13-hour day! Wow! what an exemplary nurse and person!
