I wanted to share with you the experience I had with the most professional nurse I have ever encountered, Amanda Meehan. I was brought to Mercy Fitzgerald with stroke like symptoms. After initial evaluation in the emergency room, I was transferred to EAU to wait for a room to be assigned. Amanda was the only nurse on duty in the unit. Although she was busy, Amanda made me feel as though I was the only patient in the hospital. She took the time to explain my medical condition and the kind of care I could expect. Shortly after I arrived, Amanda arranged for a priest to bring me the Sacrament of the Sick and Holy Communion. When I was transferred to my room Amanda handed me this note and wished me well. She also promised to pray for me and my family.
