Amanda Meier, RN from Regional Heart Center, is an exceptional nurse who demonstrates the qualities of a DAISY honoree. Amanda's entire clinic rallied around her, submitting an avalanche of DAISY nominations from a variety of job classes to ensure recognition of her nursing excellence.

As a leader within the Adult Congenital Heart disease team, Amanda shepherds teenagers and young adults as they transition their care from Seattle Children's Hospital to UWMC. Her extensive pediatrics knowledge and specialized skills from her time with Seattle Children's has been a great asset to her fellow nurses. Amanda is a life-long learner, constantly striving to better understand her patients' medical, social and spiritual needs and how to best manage them. She is passionate about providing care for her patients and consistently goes above and beyond the call of duty.
