Amanda was nominated by the family of a patient that passed away. The family expressed special appreciation for Amanda and the care that she provided to the patient and also to the family during the final moments of his life. She mentioned several acts of kindness and support that Amanda showed and expressed that it was very much needed by all. She wanted to be sure to recognize her excellent service.

She cared for the patient (and his family) on the day he died and for a few days prior. The patient had a wife and children. She provided opportunity for discussion on care options and provided opportunity for the patient to verbalize his wishes. She worked to arrange virtual as well as on-site visitation for the family so they could all say their last "I love yous" and goodbyes. Amanda was at their side to provide emotional support/comfort prior to and after the patient passed.
