Amanda Mundy, RN

My daughter came to the ER for a fractured arm and dislocated elbow. CHOP has always had amazing staff. However, Amanda took CHOP's amazing staff standards to a whole new level! She showed true compassion and understanding for my daughter and me. We laughed together, she supported my anxiety about procedures, and most importantly, she took the time to be thorough and explain EVERYTHING! If I had to use the bathroom, she was there to help with A. If I needed to run and grab food, she was there to help with A. She made my daughter and I feel like we were her only patient/family to take care of (this is obviously not the case). She made my 3-year-old feel emotionally supported through her "big boo-boo." Even almost a week later, A still talks about "my cool nurse." She truly made a huge impact on us! Please consider Amanda for this award! She deserves the world, but this is the best way I know how to show our appreciation! If we could have Amanda every time we go to an ER, a hospital experience would be so much less scary!
