I would like to recognize Ms. Nedved for her ongoing commitment to the service she provides to both the Veterans and their families. Ms. Nedved was providing care to one of our most critically ill Veterans who was receiving end of life care in our MICU. This Veteran eventually passed away in the MICU with Ms. Nedved as his caregiver. When the family was given information on arrangements and such they, made a special note to mention the compassionate care she provided. They also stated that the kindness and caring she provided them was genuine and that they could tell she cared. They stated that her attitude helped them gain the strength they needed to handle the situation that was completely unexpected.
