Amanda displayed not only extreme compassion but exhibited critical thinking to evaluate risk vs reward for her patient at the end of life. She advocated for him by questioning a physician's order that may potentially cause harm/discomfort to him. She took time to educate the family member on the medications and labs and responded quickly with requests. The grieving wife appreciated her care and support as her husband declined. Honored to work with nurses like Amanda.
