We had a patient who was very late for her appointment and the provider was unable to see her. She was blind and needed a care worker to help her with her appointment. We knew this patient needed help. I asked Amanda Neuman RN to meet with this patient to see what we could do. Amanda went above and beyond spending 45 minutes with this patient, finding out what the patient needs are and how we could help. Amanda then worked with the patient to set her up with visiting nurses to give her the help at home she needs. Amanda didn't have to meet with this patient, she could have said they need to reschedule with the provider, but she took it on herself to be able to assist this patient who was in need. Thanks to Amanda, the social worker stated they felt she would get the help she needs. I am so proud of Amanda for helping this patient.
