Amanda has been exceptional in her care for my brother, who not only had the challenges of knee replacement, but also has downs syndrome & Alzheimer’s.  Amanda’s unending energy, care, patience, kindness, and expertise made a huge difference in my brother’s recovery.  There are no words to express how I feel, so I hope this nomination brings me a little closer to showing my appreciation.

I can’t say enough good things about Amanda.  Amanda was my savior every day that she was my nurse.  She showed true compassion when the pain from my ankle surgery was excruciating.

I would honor all nurses, but one stuck out the most.  It was a pleasure to see her the days she was there—Amanda Niver.  She travels from Buffalo to work in our area. She is great at what she does and works long hours.  She is a very personable woman who loves what she does.  I had asked her what her DAISY pins were for, and she told me that she lost her 4th one.  I think she deserves another 4th one—plus a 5th DAISY pin because I am nominating her for one more.  They show how good she is at what she loves to do.  Thank you, Amanda, for taking care of the patients the way you do.

Amanda was the nurse for my 99-year-old mom-in-law.  She went above and beyond in her care.  Always pleasant, and helpful, and knowledgeable about her progress. She’s the ideal for a caring nurse and we feel lucky to have had her care for Mom.
