We arrived at the hospital to attempt aversion for our breech little man. The attempt failed, and I had to have a C-section. I was greeted by Amanda. A friendly smiling face reassuring me she would be there for me and anything I needed. Just what I needed to hear. Less than 24 hours later I had to use the restroom. I didn't know where to start. Amanda helped me walk to the restroom where I just stood and cried. She proceeded to help me through the entire messy process. This girl was my rock! She made me feel comfortable and at ease my entire 2-day stay. I couldn't have asked for a better nurse. 16 babies born that day and she made me feel like I was the only patient!
My overall experience highlighted this spectacular woman because I truly believe she helped me get through a C-section, recovery and my first days as a mom to my son. The positivity and support radiated from Amanda. It's not often the love of one's job shows on one's face. Thank you, Amanda. I truly believe you're amazing and deserve to be told so! Keep up the amazing work and keep that shining spirit and smile, for you will surely make another new Momma's day as bright as you made mine.
