We couldn’t have been more at peace knowing our mom was with a “true angel” and she was going to be taken care of by Amanda in place of us since we were not able to be by her side.
I can certainly assure you that Amanda is in her "calling field". Our mother was admitted in the hospital with COVID Pneumonia. During this horrible time for my family knowing our mother's overall health condition and being a dementia patient has been traumatic. I made a promise to my mom that I or my brother or a family loved one would always be there with her and we would never leave her alone as her condition has worsened over the last several months. When we were told we could not be with our mom during this time, it truly broke our hearts and made us feel as helpless as we have ever been, knowing she needed our voices to help her through this crisis.
Through tears and prayers, God blessed our mom with Amanda and they connected instantly with each other. Amanda suggested she would be happy to let us FaceTime with our mom and seeing mom smiling and alert, I knew beyond a doubt mom felt the genuine love flow through Amanda and she would help with our mom's recovery through God's mercy and grace. We couldn't have been more at peace knowing our mom was with a "true angel" and she was going to be taken care of by Amanda in place of us since we were not able to be by her side. Amanda is definitely the "very Best Nurse" and NOMC Hospital is blessed and should be very honored to have her as an Employee. I know she has touched more lives than just ours, but she is as genuine and loving as I have seen in the nursing field in a long time. I feel as she and I have built a bond and I pray I am able to meet Amanda in person and personally thank her face to face and hug her and let her know how much peace she gave us knowing she was caring for our mom.
Amanda, our family greatly appreciates everything you have done and how you went the extra mile to ease our hearts to comfort and care for our mom. We love you very much and wish you and all your loved ones the very best.
