My daughter had been struggling with anxiety before admission. Amanda has had my daughter for 3 days in a row and on day 1 she had a calm caring never hurried approach. One day, Amanda sat with my daughter while I ran to get a drink. I came back to find her supporting my daughter while she was vomiting. Amanda always asked for permission from my daughter to assess her. I know all of those things seem basic and part of nursing but as a nurse myself, Amanda has a genuine approach. My daughter cried "mom can we take her home with us”.
