Amanda took care of my husband when he was in the ICU with end stage liver disease with stage 4 cancer. She was very compassionate and patient with my family and me.
My husband was declining very rapidly, and she kept our daughter and I updated every step of the way. We made the decision to place him under palliative care and she was beyond helpful and supportive during that time.
When we had questions or concerns, she contacted resources for us. She went above her call of duty by holding my husband's hand and talking to him when he was confused. She would always tell him what she was doing before she did it.
When my husband was moved down to the 4th floor, she came down to check on him. My daughter and I weren't in the room at the time so she left a note to say, "I will continue to check on your husband and family. Prayers to you and your beautiful family". It meant a lot to us!
She has been an angel to us and our family. She is so caring to patients and their families during this rough time of life.
Amanda is a true DAISY Nurse.
