Amanda was very through when explaining my medication, procedures and answering questions that my husband and I had. I was never made to feel that she needed to hurry off to someone more important. She was truly my rock during this experience. She wanted to be in the room when my doctor did rounds so she could hear what they said about my care. I knew her shift ended at 3:30 PM however she knew I was apprehensive about my next nurse and she promised to make sure she would share all my information with them before she left. I was surprised when they walked into my room with the shift change and paid a visit together to make me comfortable and it was 3:45 PM, well past the time she needed to stay. Truly a gem! Amanda was truly knowledgeable about my diagnosis, my procedures, my medications and the course of action that need to be taken. She was extremely professional when it came to walking that fine line of getting me what I was asking for while explaining that an order needed to requested and did it in a timely fashion. She is a true professional.
I was so very lucky to have met her, had her as my care giver and left Essentia with the feeling that I had gained a new friendship. You are lucky to have Amanda on your staff.
