I would like to nominate this nurse-leader for a DAISY Award because of the compassion and support she consistently shows to her staff. She always takes the time to check in on me, making sure I'm doing OK both professionally and emotionally. After my first code, which the patient did not make it through. She comforted me during one of the hardest moments of my nursing journey. Her presence, kindness, and reassurance meant more than words can express. She leads with empathy, strength, and genuine care, creating a supportive environment where nurses feel seen, valued, and supported.
