There are so many situations, for which I could name my reasons for feeling that Amanda deserves this award related to the care she gave my child during his 9 day stay. From her seeing to it that he got an ice cream treat that he wanted from Dairy Queen after going 2 weeks without holding down any food. The patience and compassion she showed to my son when he was scared to have his drain pulled. When I asked my son what he liked about Amanda he said, "She makes me feel like I am important." He loved how she danced around his room when she found out he would be discharged the next day.
