I had surgery and I was in a lot of pain that day and although the staff helping at first were nice, when the shift change came and I met Amanda, I felt like things would get better from the moment I heard her calming, empathetic voice and saw the kindness in her eyes and warm smile. She saw how much pain I was in and she made a call to my doctor to see what could be done and came back to reassure me that she and the doctor would do everything possible to help. She apologized sincerely that I was hurting, brought me fresh water, checked in on me often and got the medication changed quickly. She came in to check on me and made me feel cared about! She is an exemplary nurse. Her kindness, empathy and sincerity made me feel so much better and I am grateful for her amazing care at Seton!
