Amanda was our labor and delivery nurse. From the start, she was not only kind and gentle to my husband and me, but truly encouraging to the point of empowerment. I was able to deliver our first baby largely in part due to her incredible knowledge, resiliency, and encouragement. We used all of her strength and skill to push through an all-natural birth. She knew things (such as the "squat bar") that even the doctors did not know (not to discount the doctors, they were great, too)! She consistently went above and beyond to encourage our choice and to prepare us properly for every single step. I truly believe that our labor was astoundingly successful due to her...our daughter, my husband and I are truly grateful to her.
