We all have to go through some very trying experiences in our lifetimes. I've led a very healthy life growing up in a Christian home with lovely parents. In my sixties and I needed a pacemaker and that seemed like a pretty traumatic experience. As the mother of five beautiful, healthy girls, I could take life in stride and I was ready to live in a lovely assisted living facility. My husband's death from mesothelioma came quite suddenly and I was not really ready to face living alone and assisted living was perfect for me. I've been herefor 4 years and all was going well. One day things took a turn for the worse and I was on my way to the Ascension Hospital. I felt very lost and so sick. All the nurses were so kind and gave me good care. Then came Amanda just when I needed her and she was so kind and caring and I felt her care was just for me. She talked with me and just showed such loving caring attention. She did so many gentle things I just wanted to take her in my arms and hug and tell her how much it meant to me. She told me she was a newlywed and her and her husband were building a new home in the country. She always seemed there just when I need her the most. Her lovely care was so important to me and I said it to all the people she cared for. I'm still trying to recover now from 2 burst ear drums. I'm patiently waiting for my hearing to return. This lovely young woman is so deserving of your wonderful praise and I am very proud to recognize her.
