I came in nearly Sunday Morning with complications and needing to be induced. I was very scared, sick and anxious. My new nurse during shift change, Amanda walked in. The anxiety shifted, the weight felt lifted and I trusted her. The day progressed, but not without lots of ups and downs, was cool. calm and collected throughout and eased through the very rocky waters with grace and all the while keeping me calm and updated. Amanda was so very knowledgeable, well-spoken, and full of grace, and was everything and more a bedside nurse should be. Even after her shift was over Amanda checked on me and gave me a thorough run down of our day. With tears in my eyes and a grateful heart, I hope this DAISY award finds her!
