I believe that Amanda Stephens is a DAISY Nurse because of her dedication to not only her patients but her team members as well. I work with Amanda on Tower 5A and strongly believe that she exemplifies what a DAISY Nurse is. She shows compassion and caring to her patients and goes above and beyond. But is also a wonderful team member and mentor to her fellow nurses. I worked with Amanda as a CNA while I was in nursing school and then once I graduated she precepted me as a new nurse. She helped me feel at ease while learning and was very patient and kind. The qualities she has as a nurse are what any new nurse should strive for. She is always willing to jump in and help her team members when they need assistance, she often fills in as charge when needed and always has a positive happy attitude.
