January 2022 Honoree
Amanda Sumrall, RN
My 22-year-old daughter was seen in the ED with abdominal pain, passing out, and difficulty using the restroom. When we got to the room Amanda was so nice to us and talked to my daughter like she knew her and was genuinely concerned about her wellbeing. Even though the ED was packed, and she was super busy, she still took the time to ask a lot of questions and made sure my daughter was comfortable. I was so happy to have a nurse like Amanda on duty for the peace of mind she gave us that my daughter would not leave the hospital until she was checked out fully and they try their best to find the problem. She kept us updated and at ease, informing us of results and keeping us updated. She was great!
Thank you, Amanda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
