Throughout the COVID pandemic, this nurse has taken an active role in keeping the clinic running smoothly and adopted a temporary leadership role while our director and supervisor were both absent for an extended amount of time. As with all units, we were short-staffed due to reassignment of nurse duties, deployment of active duty RN to Iowa test sites, and other staffing craziness. Amanda continues to make all efforts to support staff and other nurses. She is truly the definition of a healthcare hero, friend, and mentor.
