At the beginning of this year, my son was in the NICU for 13 days, and Amanda was only his nurse for about four of them. She gave me a reason to keep going and encouragement and continued to help me survive during the scariest moments of any mother's life. She kept me well-informed, calmed me down, and leveled with me.
